Advertise with Kirin Drill
Kirin Drill (きりんドリル) is a free printable-worksheet site for Japanese elementary school students, grades 1–6, created by a working teacher. We welcome advertising and sponsored-content enquiries from companies whose products support learning at home.
Who uses Kirin Drill
- Parents of elementary school children, in Japan and in Japanese-speaking families around the world
- Teachers at Japanese supplementary (weekend) schools, tutoring centres and cram schools
- Families who study at home with printed worksheets and a pencil
Most visitors arrive already knowing the grade, subject and unit they need, and print the worksheet the same day. That makes it easy to show them products that fit what their child is studying right now.
About the site
- Japanese and maths for every grade: more than 3,300 worksheets for grades 1–6, covering arithmetic, kanji, reading comprehension, hiragana and katakana.
- Notes for parents on every worksheet: each page explains where children tend to get stuck and what to say to help, so parents read the pages closely.
- Used worldwide: every worksheet comes in both A4 and US Letter, for families who cannot easily buy Japanese study materials where they live.
- Run by a teacher: all worksheets are designed by a teacher with more than ten years of experience teaching Japanese children in Japan and overseas.
The site and its worksheets are written in Japanese. Our audience reads Japanese; many families living outside Japan are bilingual.
A good fit for
| Home printers, ink and paper | Reach parents at the moment they print. Our worksheets are made to be printed, and many families print several pages a day. It is a natural place to introduce printers, ink plans and paper chosen for running cost and ease of use. |
|---|---|
| Note-taking and PDF annotation apps for tablets | Home study without the printer. More families now open the PDFs on a tablet and write on them with a stylus. We can show how your app works with our worksheets, on worksheet pages and in our how-to guides. |
| Stationery | Tools for learning by hand. Much of the site is handwriting practice: hiragana, kanji and pencil-control exercises. Pencils, erasers, notebooks and folders designed for young writers fit well. |
| Services for Japanese families overseas | For families keeping up Japanese outside Japan. International delivery of Japanese books and study materials, preparation for returning to school in Japan, Japanese-language learning services and similar. |
| Study and educational products | Setting up a place to study. Study timers, desks, laminators and other products that help parents build a daily study habit. |
